What we are looking for
A Social Media Manager eager to join a highly disruptive start-up in a rapid growth phase and positioned to scale significantly in the coming months.
About the Role
Shape, and deliver a data driven social media and content strategy across key social channels.
End-to-end management and growth of Ukheshe’s social channels, including scheduling and community management.
Developing campaigns rooted in a strategic approach by gathering audience, market and business insights, using a variety of tools including social insights platforms.
Project managing social media campaigns from initial response through to post campaign reporting.
Campaign budget management – ensuring campaign profitability.
Manage multiple social media accounts (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok) with a focus on community-building activities.
Create and publish organic, high-quality content that aligns with the brand voice and goals and drives engagement and growth.
Analyse and report on social media performance and campaigns, using metrics and insights to inform and adjust strategy as needed in order to engage and grow the community.
Monitor and respond to customer comments and messages in a timely and professional manner while identifying opportunities for growth and fostering a positive and engaged community.
Collaborate with the broader marketing team and internal stakeholders (this includes company spokespeople, Business Development and HR teams and internal staff) to ensure a cohesive brand message across all internal and external channels.
Keep abreast of social media trends, technologies and analyse industry competitors, as well as evaluate new opportunities for the brand that can drive growth and enhance community building.
Plan and host community-building events and initiatives, such as social media contests and online discussions.
Requirements
Degree (or equivalent study) in marketing, communications, or related field with a focus on digital and social media.
3+ years of experience managing social media for a brand within a rapid growth environment, with evidence of building and engaging with online communities.
Experience in Adobe creative cloud, illustrator, InDesign etc.
Excellent understanding of analytics and using data to help shape business and campaign decisions.
Proficiency in social media management tools (eg. Hootsuite, Canva, Miro).
Great communication skills with the ability to think strategically and a creative mindset.
Keen interest in the ongoing development and future direction of social content, as well as a passion for the data and statistics behind social content.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to drive growth through collaboration.
Detail and deadline oriented.
Strong interest and experience within the Fintech industry.
