Graphic Design Intern

About the Role

Role Purpose:

Support the Marketing team in creating visually compelling content and effective sales documentation. The primary focus of this role will be to support our marketing efforts in creating compelling content and effective sales documentation alongside our creative team. A key aspect of this position involves managing and enhancing our sales documentation, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and visual appeal across all materials.

Sales Documentation Management:

  • Take ownership of all sales documentation, including brochures, presentations, proposals, and other marketing collateral.

  • Maintain a centralised repository for all sales materials, ensuring easy access and organisation.

  • Regularly update and revise existing documentation to reflect updated information and branding guidelines.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather content and ensure accuracy and relevancy of information

Quality Control And Editing:

  • Review and edit sales documentation for clarity, consistency, and grammar.

  • Ensure all materials align with brand identity and messaging standards.

  • Proofread content to identify and correct errors before finalising designs.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to incorporate feedback and revisions as needed.

  • Review, edit and update all documentation that will be distributed externally

Documentation Custodianship:

  • Act as the custodian of all sales documentation, maintaining version control and ensuring document security.

  • Implement best practices for document storage, archiving, and retrieval.

  • Train team members on document management procedures and guidelines.

Assist Designers & Brand Manager With Graphic Design:

  • Assist designers & brand manager to create visually appealing graphics and layouts for various marketing materials, adhering to brand guidelines.

  • Design engaging presentations, infographics, and digital assets to support marketing campaigns and initiatives.

  • UtiliSe Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design tools to bring concepts to life.

  • Work closely with the Marketing team to brainstorm and execute creative ideas for promotional materials.

Way of Work:

  • Use of proper punctuation, UK English grammar and spelling.

  • Ensure all documents, correspondence etc. are formatted correctly, are neat and accurate.

  • All activities are completed with due care and align with accuracy and quality standards.

  • Obtain necessary approvals for legal activities aligned with process.

  • Identify and / or confirm relevant timeframes / deadlines applicable to the task at hand.

Time-Sheet Management:

  • Time tracking must be completed on a daily/weekly basis in Jira (Tempo).

  • Accurate project codes must be allocated to each line item.

  • Employee must track a min of 8 hours per workday.

Business Risk Management:

  • Compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Complete all periodic mandatory policy and security training in accordance with EFT Corporation Group’s guidelines.

  • Risk mindset applied and business risks actively raised to direct manager.

Country of Employment: South Africa

Country where services will be rendered: The nature of this role may require the individual to provide services across different entities within the EFT Corporation Group as and when required. This could involve temporary assignments, projects, or responsibilities that extend beyond the specific entity to which the individual is initially assigned. The willingness to adapt and contribute to the broader objectives of the group is essential for success in this role.


What you need to succeed:

  • Current enrolment in a relevant degree program (e.g., Graphic Design, Marketing, or related field). Knowledge about Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other graphic design software.

  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and layout composition.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.

  • Familiarity with marketing concepts and strategies is a plus.

  • Previous experience in graphic design, marketing or related fields is desirable but not required.

  • Proficiency in Design Software: Adobe creative suite, sketch or figma and canva or similar tools.

  • Creativity & Innovation: ability to develop original design concepts and have strong story telling skills.

  • Documentation and Archiving: systematic approach to file naming and version control and ability to maintain an organised repository of assets and templates.

  • Strong Communication: Be able to communicate clearly and take feedback constructively.

  • Ability to work in a team environment: Have experience working in a team and be able to collaborate with marketing and sales teams to understand their needs.

  • Passion for design

  • Analytical – ability to analyse complex data and identify behavioural and transactional patterns indicative of fraudulent activities.

  • Systematic and methodical – desire to develop and execute structured processes for fraud detection, investigation, and prevention.

  • Communication – strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex information to various stakeholders.

  • Ethical Integrity – a strong sense of ethics and integrity, with a commitment to upholding ethical standards in all aspects of work.

  • Intellectual curiosity - strong desire to learn and stay updated on emerging fraud trends and prevention techniques.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
