Proudly taking on the Ecobank Fellowship Programme

2 min read.

After being announced as a finalist in the 2020 Ecobank Fintech Challenge where we had the opportunity to exhibit and showcase our payment platform to Ecobank’s investment and technology teams, Ukheshe Technologies, which placed second overall, has now officially begun participating in Ecobank’s Fellowship Program.

Through the program, the next 6 months will see Ukheshe Technologies benefit from access to key decision-makers in Ecobank while leveraging their VC partners, as well as the opportunity to integrate with Ecobank’s existing digital offerings together with a host of other benefits.

In addition to becoming a Fellowship alumnus on completion of the program, Ukheshe Technologies will have access to Ecobank’s extensive market reach and explore possible partnerships via the group’s footprint in over 33 African countries where it reaches around 24 million customers.

The program’s vision mirrors our own belief that harnessing the power of digital and mobile payment technologies will assist in driving economic growth and financial inclusion.

The Ecobank Fintech Challenge and Fellowship program will also assist our business in creating further awareness of our banking platform while also drawing much-needed attention to the plight of the underserved.

Ukheshe Technologies was one of three South African businesses in the top 10 finalists out of a pool of some 600 fintech entries. We are incredibly proud of this achievement and look forward to participating in other challenges and events where we can showcase the depth and breadth of our payment platform solutions.
